So much fun

My mom has been visiting for the past week and a half and we have had so much fun with her.. despite the natural disaster. We spent the week at the Lake and then a few days here at our house. I very much enjoyed some Mother-Daughter time and not to mention the nights when she gave Tucker a bath and put him to bed.. and on top of all that she cleaned my entire house top to bottom!!!!!! and watched Tucker Saturday day while Andrew played tennis and I went to my friend Renee's baby shower and on Saturday night so Andrew and I could go out to dinner. My mom is the greatest and I am so blessed to have her.

I love you lots Mom, you rock!!!

The only thing I am bummed about is that neither one of us had our camaras all week so we didn't get any pictures!!! Maybe next time.

School Is In!

Tucker started a Mother's Morning Out Program.. I call it 'school' two days a week. These are some pictures of his first day.

I tried to get him to stand in front of the door, and of course could not get him to stand still for two seconds.. this is right before we left in the morning...
Tucker and his friend Robert are in the same class. Since they survived their first day, Meredith and I let the boys play on the playground at school. Tucker is drinking out of Robert's sippy cup as usual.

Working together.. they have nametags on their backs.. so cute.
No idea what is going on here.. notice how their outfits match. It was not planned, but they looked cute!
Now that we have been going for a few weeks and Tucker understands what is going on, it is getting harder for him. Today I had to pick him up early b/c he was throwing a fit. Hopefully he will start to adjust as more time passes..

Was school a bad idea?

That is what I am pondering right now.. Tucker had his first taste of 'school' last week. He is going to a Mother's Morning Out program two mornings a week and has already gotten sick! One of the kids in his class had Hand Foot and Mouth and poor little Tucker has caught it. I know that this is going to happen and that it's supposed to be good for him to get sick now to build his immunity, but I can't help but be really really annoyed by this. Not only did we have to cut our weekend trip short, but Tucker and I have now been stuck in the house since Monday until who knows when.

I guess this is all part of being a parent and I need to suck it up.. but.. sometimes it is hard to do that.

The good news is that Tucker's fever has been gone since yesterday, he ate a good dinner last night and slept from 9pm-7:30am.

Well, that's it for now. I just needed to vent a little.
Hope your kids are healthy!!

Popsicle Smiles

Nothing like a popsicle in the backyard after dinner...
