Crawling for Christmas

Here is a video of Tucker crawling towards his first Christmas gift ever!

9 month check up

We went to the doctor yesterday for Tucker's nine month check up. His quick stats, he is 29 1/2 inches long (87% for height!) and 21 lbs 3 oz (62% for weight). He has started to level off with his weight gain now that he is mobile and the pediatrician said this will continue. His ear infection has cleared up which is really good news since we are flying tomorrow. Overall he looks really healthy and is tracking right along for his age. He did not get a flu shot or his blood drawn b/c I didn't want anything to possibly interfere with him being happy for our travels. I really like the pediatrician we met with but she doesn't have any children of her own so she is not my favorite. That's about it! We leave for Reno this weekend.. wish us luck on the flight there. It's at night so hopefully Tucker will sleep the entire time.

Santa

Today we went to see Santa at Phipps Plaza in Atlanta with my friend Meredith, her mom and Robert. Neither of the boys were crazy about Santa, but needless to say, we still got some cute pics. Better luck next year!

The Honeymoon has ended..

Well, everyone said this time would come. And it has. The days of putting Tucker on a blanket to play with his toys while we do something else are over. Let's see.. today already he has eaten wrapping paper, choked on wrapping paper, bit my finger while I removed the wrapping paper from his mouth, tried to turn on the DVD player (you can tell he is a Cullen), pulled himself up on the exersaucer, played with some of our books and crawled across the room for the remote. Guess I have to be careful what I wish for.
He likes Grandma Emmie's paintings..

It has started....

Well... we should have known that the only way to get Tucker to start crawling is to bribe him with food. We put a banana in front of him and it got him moving. Only a few small inches, but at least he went forward instead of backwards like he normally does. Check out the video.

Taking naps

Tucker has been napping really well lately, but for some reason this morning he did not want to fall asleep. I noticed that he got very quiet so I went upstairs to check on him and this is what I found....
Apparently he has learned how to go from laying down to sitting up in his crib.

We then headed over to Meredith's house. I watched Robert so she could go to the salon to get a hair cut. Tucker finally decided that he would take a nap once he was in Robert's crib. He looks pretty comfortable. Notice his leg on the bumper pad!

Standing

So Tucker has been standing on his own lately. He lasts about a minute and then his legs kind of give out and he flops down on the floor.

He is concentrating really hard here...

Turkeys!

Today Tucker and I went to Meredith's house.
Reese and Tucker had fun playing in this box!

soon enough...

Playing guitar...

...eating food. His two teeth are so cute.

....laughing and playing.
Pretty soon I will be posting pictures of Tucker crawling. He has been moving from a sitting position to all fours recently and today at my friend Meredith's house he rolled five feet all on his own. Yesterday in his crib he moved from laying down on his back to sitting up. I almost can't believe he is old enough to be doing these things and it's amazing every time he does something new.

Shopping!!

Tucker made it through our shopping trip today. He was a trooper. He must really like my friend Kara, because he smiled and laughed while she was holding him. We got home at 7pm which is when he normally goes to bed and he took a nap in the car so we had a slumber party and he went to sleep really late.. 9pm!

Weekend update

Tucker is finally napping! He has really been struggling with taking his naps lately. He fights them and does not want to sleep. Today we are headed over to Kara and Josh's house and then Kara and I are going to shop at the outlet mall. This is my third time going to the outlets and I am not sick of them yet! Andrew is in Dubuque, Iowa and will be home in a few days. This is his first time back to Dubuque in 12 years.. so should be an interesting trip for him. Other than that, Tucker says 'Ma-ma' on a regular basis which is so cute and can turn himself completely in a circle when he is sitting up. He is really strong and always wants to stand. Everyone keeps saying that he will be walking or crawling very soon. Guess we'll just have to wait and see!

Halloween Party

Today we went to a brunch and then a Halloween party at the Warren's house. It was fun to see all the babies dressed up in costumes. Getting a picture of all of them looking at the camara was pretty much impossible. They all looked cute!

Happy Halloween!

Robert and Tucker are saying hello to each other. They actually seemed like they were having a conversation!

Nicole was nice enough to hold Tucker so I could eat my lunch.

Tucker in his owl hat and Halloween onesie!

We had a great day today. Tucker and I met some friends, Nicole and Meredith, and his buddy Robert for lunch today. We had some great food and the boys were dressed up in their Halloween garb. Once we got home, Andrew, Tucker and I went to our neighborhood clubhouse for some pizza before the trick 'r' treating started and Tucker got to test out his Frog costume. He looked super cute and it fit which is good news since he will be wearing it tomorrow to a Halloween party.

Sitting Up!

Tucker has been sitting up on his own for about two weeks now. He still falls over so we always put a pillow behind him. He can pick up toys that are in front of him and seems to enjoy the new view point. Andrew took some cute pictures of him yesterday.

Baby Daddy Taco Party

These are some pics from the taco party we went to. Reese is the little girl in the front. She is the oldest out of all the kids (14 months). She loves Tucker and calls him 'Tuck Tuck'. Jackson (7 months) is in the plaid overalls and Robert (5 months) has the Georgia bib on. Andrew got to know all of the dads a little better, so that was good.

Friday Night

Today was an eventful day for our fam. Andrew wrapped up a long week of entertaining editors up in Lake Allatoona. He had a lot of early mornings and late night dinners. I went into the office today at the new Newell Rubbermaid headquarters to work and Tucker stayed at my friend Meredith's house all day. He had a good time and played with his friend Robert. Robert is five weeks younger than Tucker. They have started to interact with each other which is neat. Tucker was pretty worn out from the day and was asleep by 7:15pm. Tomorrow we are headed to the 'Baby Daddy Taco Bar' party and will get to see all of the yoga mom families. Should be fun! We will definitely post some new pics this weekend.

Tucker after his bath and a long day!

This is our latest yoga mom get together. It's amazing to see how much each baby is changing and growing.

Shopping

We did a record six hours of shopping on Saturday. Tucker and Andrew were champs. I am trying to train Tucker to like shopping!!

Tucker likes food!

Tucker ate avocados for the first time today and he really liked them. He also likes sweet potatoes, bananas and prunes. After our visit to the doctor Monday, we have started to feed him three meals a day. He gets oatmeal with every meal and really likes that. So far he has done really well with solids. I have been making all of his food using organic fruits and veggies with the babyfood maker from the Cullens. It's so easy and fun to make his food. He also likes to hum while he is eating to show how much he is enjoying it.

Tucker - Six Month Check up

Tucker had his six month check up on Monday. The pediatrician said everything looked good. He weighs 19 lbs 7 oz (81%) and is 27 3/4" long (88%). His two bottom teeth are ready to come in any day now. I also started him on more solids now that he is six months.
