A whole new world..

We have had a busy April so far. Life is definitely different with a family of four and has been so awesome now that Wes is here. He is a perfect little addition to our family.

Wes on Easter morning just enjoying being outside. I love this shirt. It was a gift from my friend Jill.

Easter Egg hunt in the backyard on Easter morning..

Tucker had fun searching for the eggs. We had to help him out b/c Andrew did a really good job hiding them..

What's inside the egg Daddy?

Tucker and Andrew went to the Cubs game. His first baseball game ever!

Thanks to our friends Jenny and Harrison, we got to go to a local firestation and do a tour.. my friends helping me out with Tucker here..

Tucker would not smile for me so this is the best picture I got.

Andrew had to go out of town this weekend, so we hit up a parade this morning. Tucker finally warmed up and had a good time once his friend Robert got there. Until then, he just sat in the stroller with this serious look on his face. Wes is napping and being perfect baby as usual.

The marines marching. This was pretty cool.

Big Brother

Tucker has been so sweet with 'Baby Wes' as he calls him and has really taken to being a big brother. He brings Wes his pacifier when he cries and overall has adjusted really well to his little brother.

Our little bundle

Wes made his arrival into the world! He is so beautiful and perfectly healthy. My mom and Andy took him and Tucker to the pediatrician yesterday and Wes has already surpassed his birth weight (8.5lbs).. he weighed in at 8 lbs 9 oz!! The nurses made my mom put him on the scale twice because they didn't think it was right. He is doing well and is very chill. Tucker loves his little brother and has been very sweet with him (so far). He brings him toys and laughs any time that Wes is awake. It's really neat to see.

Snow & Steak N Shake

This past Thursday, I was antsy and needed to get out of the house, so we took Tucker to Steak N Shake. Tucker and Andrew love going there and they serve the food super fast - which makes it a lot more pleasant for us.
We got some beautiful snow yesterday. It was great! Andy came home from work early so they went outside to play in it with some of the neighbors.

Tucker and Andy after playing in the snow. We bought Tucker and Fisher Price Fun-2-Learn laptop for when the baby comes and let him open it a little early. He wants to be just like his daddy.. here they are on their laptops.. so cute!

Happy Valentine's Day

Tucker and I went to a Valentine's Day party at my friend Meredith's house this week. We had such a great time - Meredith made some amazing food and had crafts for the kids. Tucker made a valentine for his dada which Andrew really loved. And thanks to my friend Jenny R - I stole this cute picture of the kid's from her blog!!
Reese, Mary, Robert, Maddy, Tucker and Harrison posing with their suckers. As you can see, Reese is the oldest and is great at posing for pictures!

Boy's Rooms

Baby Boy #2 can come any time now. Andy and I have been working on moving rooms around for the the last month and we are finally done. Here are some pics of Tucker's new big boy room, the nursery and our new guest room.

Tucker has been sleeping and napping really well in his new room. We played a lot in here before we moved him to get him comfortable. He had been napping in his new bed for a week and then just decided one night that he would sleep here. It was a lot easier than we thought!
Andrew picked out and bought this dresser from Pier 1 all on his own. He has done such a great job with finding furniture and things for our house. We love the dresser and know it will be useful for a long time to come.
I haven't really done much to change the nursery. We got a new lamp, and some other some things, but I am excited to bring in the baby's clothes and everything that will be just for him.

It's been fun to get out all the baby things again for the nursery.

This guest room used to be in Tucker's new room, but we decided he should have the big room. It worked out really well and all the furniture fits in here perfectly. We are ready for all of our family to come visit once the baby is here!

30 minutes..

Well, today was nap #2 in the big boy bed and Tucker did much better. I tried to leave his door cracked and stand outside, but then that just became a game for him. He would get out of bed, come up to the door and open it, then I would tell him to go lay down. This happened 10-15 times, and I figured it wasn't going to work. I closed his door but held the knob so he couldn't accidentally lock it. He sat at the door and cried for about five minutes then got bored with that, walked away and then I could hear him playing with his car.

After abou 15 minutes of playing, he crawled onto his bed with his doggy and went to sleep. He slept for an hour and 45 minutes. So.. we made some progress. I think I am going to take the suggestion of putting up a baby gate at his door so he is not 'locked' in there.

Hopefully we'll get better with each day. I am glad we are doing this now with a good six weeks before Baby #2 gets here!

24 minutes..

Is how long it took Tucker to fall asleep for his first nap today in his new room. With only seven weeks left before the baby gets here we are beginning the transition of getting him out of the nursery and into his new room and new twin bed. he did pretty well, only crying for 24 minutes before falling asleep. the only problem is that he fell asleep at his door on the floor b/c he was crying and pounding on the door trying to get out. after falling asleep, he slept for about 45 minutes before waking up. Not bad for his first nap in a new room. he usually sleeps around 2.5-3 hours.. the only problem is that he somehow locked the door and we went through a five minute panic before I was able to open the door with a credit card. He is sleeping in his crib tonight and we will try nap #2 in his bed tomorrow. keep your fingers crossed! I am thinking about leaving his door open today and making him stay in his bed if he gets up instead of shutting the door. If anyone has suggestions....
